Chocolate Ice Cream Rolls

Ingredients

For the ice cream filling:

1 cup heavy whipping cream (cold)
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: 2 tablespoons strawberry syrup or food coloring (for pink color)

For the chocolate coating:

1½ cups milk or dark chocolate
2 tablespoons vegetable oil or coconut oil
¼ cup crushed nuts (hazelnuts, peanuts, or almonds)

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Ice Cream
In a bowl, whip the cold cream until soft peaks form.
Add condensed milk and vanilla extract.
Mix gently until smooth.
Add strawberry syrup if using (for pink flavor/color).

2️⃣ Freeze in a Thin Layer
Line a flat tray or baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread the ice cream mixture very thinly (about 2–3 mm).
Freeze for 3–4 hours until completely firm.

3️⃣ Roll the Ice Cream
Remove from freezer.
Cut into long strips using a sharp knife.
Carefully roll each strip into tight rolls.
Return rolls to freezer for 20 minutes.

4️⃣ Prepare Chocolate Coating
Melt chocolate with oil using a double boiler or microwave.
Stir until smooth.
Mix in crushed nuts.

5️⃣ Coat the Rolls
Dip each frozen roll into the melted chocolate.
Place on parchment paper.
Let set (chocolate hardens quickly).

Storage
Keep frozen until serving
Best eaten within 1 week

Tips
Work fast when rolling (ice cream melts quickly)
You can use vanilla, chocolate, or mango flavor instead
For extra crunch, add rice crisps to chocolate
