Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1. Chocolate Cake Base

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

Pinch of salt

1 egg

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup hot water

1 tsp vanilla

2. Milk Chocolate Mousse Layer

200 g milk chocolate

1 cup heavy cream (cold)

1 tbsp gelatin

3 tbsp water

3. White Chocolate Mousse Layer

200 g white chocolate

1 cup heavy cream (cold)

1 tbsp gelatin

3 tbsp water

4. Topping

Whipped cream

Chocolate shavings

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Chocolate Cake Layer

1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

2. Mix dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt.

3. Add egg, milk, oil, vanilla. Mix well.

4. Add the hot water and mix until smooth.

5. Pour into a greased cake pan and bake 20–25 minutes.

6. Let it cool completely.

Step 2: Milk Chocolate Mousse

1. Melt milk chocolate over a hot water bath. Let cool slightly.

2. Bloom gelatin: mix gelatin + water, let sit 5 minutes, then melt.

3. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks.

4. Add melted chocolate + gelatin to the whipped cream and fold gently.

5. Spread over the cooled cake layer and refrigerate 30 minutes.

Step 3: White Chocolate Mousse

1. Melt white chocolate.

2. Prepare gelatin the same way.

3. Whip heavy cream to soft peaks.

4. Mix chocolate + gelatin with whipped cream.

5. Spread on top of the milk chocolate mousse.

6. Refrigerate 4 hours (or overnight) to set.

Step 4: Decoration

Pipe whipped cream on top.

Add chocolate curls or shavings.

Tips for the Best Result

Make sure each mousse layer is slightly chilled before adding the next.

Use high-quality chocolate for rich flavor.

Chill well before slicing for clean layers.
