Homemade Orange Cake
Ingredients
3 medium oranges (for juice and grating)
3 large eggs
1 cup of sugar (200 g)
1 cup vegetable oil (240 ml)
1 cup of milk (240 ml)
2 cups of wheat flour (240 g)
1 teaspoon baking powder (10 g)
1 pinch of salt
To decorate:
3 thin slices of Orange

Preparation step by step
1. Prepare the oranges
Wash them oranges well. Grate the peel of one of them (just the orange part, avoid the white one) and squeeze the juice of all until you get about 1 cup (240 ml). Book up.
2. Beat the eggs and sugar
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is fluffy and light in color.
3. Add the liquids
Incorporate oil, milk, juice and orange zest. Mix until well combined.
4. Add the dry ingredients
Sift the flour together with the baking powder and a pinch of salt. Add little by little to the previous mix, integrating with wrapping movements so as not to lose air.
5. Baking
Pour the dough into a round mold that is previously greased and flourished. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40-45 minutes or until a chopstick insert comes out clean.
6. Decorate and Serve
Let the cake cool on a griddle. Decorate with Orange slices on top before serving.
