Caramel Apple Pie 🍰

2 cups all-purpose flour1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened1 cup granulated sugar1/2 cup brown sugar3 large eggs1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 cup buttermilk2 large apples, peeled, preserved and chopped1/2 cup caramel sauce

Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch pie pan.In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.In a large bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.Folded in chopped apples. Pour batter into the prepared cake pan.Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
