Caramel cake with banana and walnuts

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round ramekins.Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beaten in eggs, bananas and vanilla. Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk, ending with dry ingredients. Fold in walnuts.Divide the batter between pans. Bake 25-30 minutes. Great on pans, then on wire racks.For the frosting, beat the butter, sugar, vanilla and cream until smooth.Assemble cake with layers of banana, caramel and cake; ice cream with butter cream. Drizzle caramel sauce and decorate with walnuts and banana slices before serving.
