Apple Cinnamon Swirl Bread


• 1/3 cup light brown sugar• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon• 2/3 cup white sugar• 1/2 cup butter, softened• 2 eggs• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour• 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder• 1/2 cup of milk• 2 apples peeled and chopped


1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).  Grease and flour a 9×5-inch skillet. 2. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon;  set aside 3. Beat white sugar and butter until creamy.  Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. 4. Combine flour and baking powder;  add to the cream mixture alternately with milk.  Stir until smooth. 5. Pour half of the batter into the pan.  Layer with half the apples and the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture.  Repeat layers. 6. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. 8. Whisk powdered sugar and milk for the glaze;  Drizzle on the cold bread
