Carrot cake
Carrot cake, a beloved classic in the realm of desserts, tantalizes taste buds with its moist, spiced sponge infused with grated carrots. Its texture, often dense yet tender, provides a delightful contrast to the creamy richness of the frosting, typically cream cheese-based.
Ingredients:
3 eggs
2 cups of sugar
4 cups of flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. of salt
½ tsp. grated nutmeg
1 cup of oil
4 cups of grated carrot
1 cup of chopped walnuts.
Coverage:
200 grs. of butter..
200 grs. cream cheese
3 cups of powdered sugar
zest juice of 1 lemon
2 teaspoons vanilla
Preparation:
Beat the eggs and sugar until very fluffy. Add the oil and grated carrots. Apart, mix all the dry ingredients and the finely chopped walnuts. Add the flour to the egg mixture, stirring until all the ingredients are integrated.
Pour the mixture into a greased and floured mold and bake in a moderate oven for approximately 40 minutes.
For the topping, melt the butter and let it cool, add the cream cheese and the other ingredients to form the frosting. Unmold the cake when it is cold and cover with the topping, decorate with carrot zest.
