Moist Chocolate Chip Cake
Ingredients
For the cake:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 large eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup chocolate chips
½ cup hot water or hot coffee
For the chocolate frosting:
½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
¼ cup cocoa powder
2–3 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup chocolate chips (for topping)

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan.
Mix dry ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add wet ingredients:
Add eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
Add hot liquid:
Slowly pour in hot water or hot coffee and mix well. The batter will be slightly thin.
Add chocolate chips:
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake:
Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool:
Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
Make the Frosting
Beat the butter until creamy.
Add powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
Add milk and vanilla, then beat until smooth and fluffy.
Assemble
Spread the chocolate frosting over the cooled cake.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Slice and serve.
