Mushroom Swiss Burger
Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1½ cups sliced mushrooms
4 slices Swiss cheese
4 burger buns (brioche or regular)
Lettuce leaves
Optional: mayonnaise or burger sauce

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
Make a small dent in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.
2. Cook the Mushrooms
Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes until soft and golden brown.
Season lightly with salt and pepper. Set aside.
3. Cook the Burgers
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook patties for about 3–4 minutes per side (or until desired doneness).
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
4. Toast the Buns
Lightly toast the burger buns in a pan or on the grill until golden.
5. Assemble the Burger
Spread mayonnaise or sauce on the bottom bun (optional).
Add lettuce.
Place the cheesy beef patty on top.
Spoon the sautéed mushrooms over the cheese.
Cover with the top bun.
Tips:
Use 80/20 ground beef for juicy burgers.
You can add caramelized onions for extra flavor.
Serve with fries or salad.
