Classic Vanilla Cookies
✅ Ingredients
1 cup (225 g) butter, softened
1 cup (200 g) sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla extract, mix well.
In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until dough forms.
Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the tray.
Flatten slightly with a fork or glass.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
Let cool before serving.
Tips
For extra flavor, add 1 tbsp milk or almond extract.
For crunchy cookies, bake 1–2 minutes longer.
You can sprinkle sugar on top before baking.
