Marble Zebra Cake
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (200g) sugar
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
4 large eggs (room temperature)
1 cup (240ml) milk
½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
1 tbsp vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Batter
3 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp milk (extra)

Instructions
1. Prepare the Base Batter
Preheat oven to 170°C (338°F).
Grease and line your cake pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs + sugar until light and fluffy.
Add milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix well.
Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix just until smooth (do not overmix).
2. Divide and Flavor
Divide batter into two equal bowls.
Leave one part plain vanilla.
To the second bowl, add cocoa powder + 2 tbsp milk and mix to form the chocolate batter.
3. Create the Zebra Pattern
Add 3 tablespoons of vanilla batter to the center of the pan.
On top of that, add 3 tablespoons of chocolate batter.
Continue alternating vanilla → chocolate → vanilla until all the batter is used.
The batter will spread naturally into perfect rings.
4. Bake
Bake at 170°C (338°F) for 45–55 minutes
A toothpick should come out clean.
Let cool completely before slicing.
Tips for Perfect Pattern
Batter should be smooth and not too thick.
Always pour in the center of the pan.
Do NOT shake or tap the pan too much.
