Fluffy Milk Brioche Bread

Soft & Fluffy Milk Brioche Bread

Ingredients:

3 ½ cups (450 g) all-purpose flour

3 tbsp (40 g) sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp instant yeast

1 cup (240 ml) warm milk

2 large eggs (room temperature)

4 tbsp (60 g) soft butter

For the egg wash:

1 egg yolk

1 tbsp milk

Instructions:

1. Make the dough

1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.

2. Add warm milk and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.

3. Add the soft butter and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

2. First rise

4. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1–2 hours or until doubled in size.

3. Shape the brioche

5. Punch the dough down and divide into 4 or 6 equal balls.

6. Place the dough balls inside a buttered loaf pan.

4. Second rise

7. Cover and let rise again for 45–60 minutes, until very puffy.

5. Bake

8. Brush the top with the egg wash.

9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.

6. Cool and serve

10. Let the brioche cool slightly before slicing.

11. Enjoy warm with butter, jam, or honey!
