Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich
Ingredients
300 g ribeye steak (thinly sliced)
1 medium onion (sliced)
1 green bell pepper (sliced) optional
150 g mushrooms (sliced) optional
2 tbsp oil or butter
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce optional
2 hoagie rolls (or any soft sandwich bread)
4 slices provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz / mozzarella)

Instructions
1. Prepare the steak
Freeze the steak for 30 minutes to make it easier to slice.
Slice it very thin and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
2. Cook the vegetables
Heat 1 tbsp oil/butter in a pan.
Add onions (and peppers/mushrooms if using).
Cook until soft and lightly browned.
Remove from the pan and set aside.
3. Cook the steak
Add a little oil to the same pan.
Cook the thin steak slices on high heat for 2–3 minutes.
Add Worcestershire sauce if you want extra flavor.
Chop the meat with a spatula as it cooks like they do in Philly.
4. Combine
Add the cooked onions/veggies back to the meat.
Mix everything together.
5. Add the cheese
Option A: Provolone slices
Place slices on top and let them melt, then mix into the steak.
Option B: Cheez Whiz
Spread on the bread, then add the steak mixture.
6. Assemble
Toast the rolls lightly.
Fill them generously with the cheesy steak mixture.
Serve hot!
Tips
Ribeye is the classic meat, but you can use flank steak or sirloin.
For the most authentic Philly style, use just steak + onions + cheese.
Add jalapeños or hot sauce if you like it spicy.
