Soft Milk Bread Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
3 cups (375 g) all-purpose flour
2¼ tsp (7 g) instant yeast
3 tbsp (40 g) sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup (240 ml) warm milk
1 large egg
3 tbsp (40 g) butter (softened)
For brushing:
1 egg yolk (mixed with 1 tbsp milk)
Optional: sesame seeds for topping

Instructions:
1. Activate yeast (if not instant):
If using active dry yeast, mix it with warm milk and sugar. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. (Skip this step if using instant yeast.)
2. Make the dough:
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
Add the egg and warm milk. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead for about 8–10 minutes, then add softened butter and continue kneading until smooth and elastic.
3. First rise:
Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
4. Shape the rolls:
Divide the dough into 8–10 equal portions.
Roll each piece into a rope, twist it into a knot, and tuck the ends under.
Place them on a greased or lined baking tray.
5. Second rise:
Cover and let the shaped rolls rise again for 30–45 minutes until puffy.
6. Egg wash & topping:
Brush the tops with egg yolk and milk mixture.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
7. Bake:
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Finish:
Brush the warm rolls with melted butter for extra shine and softness.
Enjoy!
