Marble Cake with Chocolate Ganache
Ingredients
For the Cake:
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (200g) sugar
1 cup (240ml) milk
1/2 cup (115g) butter, softened
3 large eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp cocoa powder
For the Chocolate Ganache:
200g dark chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
For Decoration (optional):
Whipped cream
Chocolate shavings

Instructions
1. Prepare the Cake Batter:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
3. In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Stir in vanilla extract.
6. In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, and mix until smooth.
2. Create the Marble Effect:
1. Divide the batter into two equal parts.
2. In one part, mix in the cocoa powder.
3. Pour spoonfuls of vanilla and chocolate batter alternately into the loaf pan.
4. Use a knife to gently swirl the batters together to create a marble effect.
3. Bake:
Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely.
4. Make the Ganache:
1. Heat the cream until it just begins to boil.
2. Pour it over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 2 minutes.
3. Stir until smooth and glossy.
4. Pour the ganache over the cooled cake.
5. Decorate:
Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings as shown in the image.
