Chocolate Brigadeiro Oreo Cake

Ingredients

For the chocolate cake layers:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 ½ cups sugar

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

2 large eggs

1 cup milk

½ cup vegetable oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup hot water or hot coffee

For the Oreo cream filling:

2 cans sweetened condensed milk

2 tbsp butter

1 cup chopped Oreos (about 10 cookies)

½ cup heavy cream

For the chocolate ganache:

200 g dark or milk chocolate, chopped

½ cup heavy cream

For decoration:

Brigadeiros (Brazilian chocolate truffles)

Mini Oreos or Oreo halves

Instructions

1. Make the chocolate cake:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two rectangular or square cake pans.

2. In a large bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

4. Gradually add hot water or coffee and stir until well combined (batter will be thin).

5. Pour into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes. Let cool completely.

2. Make the Oreo cream filling:

1. In a saucepan, combine condensed milk and butter.

2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens slightly (about 8–10 minutes).

3. Remove from heat, add chopped Oreos and heavy cream, and mix well.

4. Let it cool before using.

3. Make the ganache:

1. Heat heavy cream until hot (do not boil).

2. Pour over the chopped chocolate and let sit for 2 minutes.

3. Stir until smooth and glossy.

4. Assemble the cake:

1. Place one chocolate cake layer on a serving tray.

2. Spread half of the Oreo filling evenly.

3. Add the second cake layer and spread the remaining filling.

4. Add the final cake layer and spread ganache on top.

5. Decorate with brigadeiros and Oreo cookies.
