Cherry Chocolate Delight Cake
Ingredients:
For the cake:
1 box chocolate cake mix (devil’s food or fudge works best)
3 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
For the frosting:
1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup milk
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional toppings:
Fresh cherries or maraschino cherries
Chocolate shavings or drizzle

Instructions:
1. Prepare the cake:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, oil, and water until smooth.
Gently fold in the cherry pie filling (don’t overmix – you want some cherry chunks).
Pour batter into the prepared pan.
2. Bake:
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool completely before frosting.
3. Make the frosting:
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Stir in cocoa powder and milk, whisking until smooth.
Remove from heat, add powdered sugar and vanilla, and beat until creamy.
4. Assemble:
Spread frosting evenly over cooled cake.
Top with cherries and chocolate shavings for decoration.
