Classic Double Chocolate Cake (Moist & Fudgy)
Ingredients
1 ¾ cups (220g) all-purpose flour
¾ cup (65g) unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups (400g) sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup (240ml) buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup (240ml) hot coffee (or hot water)
1 cup (170g) chocolate chips

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch cake pans and line with parchment.
2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
4. Stir in hot coffee (batter will be thin).
5. Fold in chocolate chips.
6. Pour into pans and bake 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
7. Let cool, then frost with chocolate ganache or buttercream.
