Oreo Cheesecake with Chocolate Frosting
Ingredients
For the crust:
300g Oreo cookies (without filling)
100g melted butter
For the filling:
600g cream cheese (Philadelphia type), at room temperature
200ml heavy cream (whipping cream)
150g sugar
3 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
12 chopped Oreo cookies (with filling)
For the topping:
200g milk chocolate or semisweet chocolate
100ml heavy cream
Decoration (optional):
Whipped cream
Oreo cookies, broken in half

Step by Step
1. Prepare the crust
1. Crush the Oreo cookies (without filling) into a fine powder.
2. Mix with the melted butter until a compact dough forms.
3. Press this mixture into the bottom of a greased springform pan (20-23 cm).
4. Refrigerate while you prepare the filling.
2. Prepare the filling
1. Beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
2. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract and heavy cream.
4. Add the crushed Oreo cookies and mix with a spatula.
5. Pour this mixture over the cookie base and smooth the surface.
3. Bake
1. Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
2. Place the pan on a tray of water (a double boiler) and bake for 50-60 minutes, until the center is almost firm.
3. Turn off the oven, leave the door ajar, and let cool completely. 4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (ideally overnight).
4. Chocolate Topping
1. Heat the heavy cream and pour it over the chopped chocolate.
2. Wait 1 minute and mix until you have a smooth ganache.
3. Pour over the cooled cheesecake and smooth with a spatula.
5. Decorate
1. Place rosettes of whipped cream and half an Oreo cookie on top of each one.
2. Serve chilled and enjoy.
