If you like chocolate, you’ll love this cake. This moist chocolate Bundt cake bakes super quickly and is simply the perfect classic for coffee.

INGREDIENTS

250 g softened butter
200 g powdered sugar
1 packet vanilla sugar
4 eggs
300 g flour
40 g cocoa powder
3 tsp baking powder
250 ml milk
200 g dark chocolate shavings
200 g dark chocolate coating

PREPARATION

Step 1
Mix the butter with the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside. Gradually stir the egg yolks into the butter mixture.

Step 2
Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan/convection oven).  Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder and stir into the batter.

Add the milk and mix. Carefully fold in the beaten egg whites. Finally, fold the dark chocolate shavings into the batter.

Rinse a silicone Bundt pan (Ø 24 cm) with cold water; do not dry it! Pour the batter into the pan and smooth it slightly.

Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes. Let it cool completely, then turn it out of the pan.

Step 3
For the glaze, melt the dark chocolate coating in a water bath. Place the cake on a nice cake plate and pour the chocolate coating over it. Let it set.
