Cold Dog
đWith Recipe
Cold Dog, or Cold Snout, is one of our favorite childhood recipes. Weâll show you Grandmaâs original recipe, which no childâs birthday party could be complete without! This egg-free cake is quick and easy to make.
INGREDIENTS
250 g dark chocolate
600 g milk chocolate
300 g heavy cream (30% fat)
220 g coconut oil
2 packets vanilla sugar (8 g each)
350 g butter cookies

PREPARATION
1. Place a loaf pan (approx. 30 x 10 cm) on baking paper, cut into the corners of the pan, and line the loaf pan with the baking paper, making sure there are no creases. Chop the chocolate. Heat the heavy cream, coconut oil, and vanilla sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add the chocolate coating, melt over low heat, stir until smooth, and remove from the heat. Fill a loaf pan with a layer of chocolate cream approximately 0.5 cm thick and top with a layer of cookies. To do this, cut or break some of the cookies to size, leaving a 0.5 cm wide chocolate border.
3. Cover the cookie layer with chocolate cream and place the next cookie layer on top. Repeat this process 6-7 times, finishing with chocolate cream.
4. Cover the loaf pan and refrigerate for approximately 6 hours â preferably overnight. Remove the cold dog from the pan, remove the parchment paper, and cut into approximately 12 pieces. Enjoy!
