CHOCOLATE CHIP SPONGE CAKE
Ingredients:
2 cups wheat flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup milk
3 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips or pieces

Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a loaf or cake pan with butter or cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs until well blended. Then add the sugar and continue beating until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened.
3. Add the melted butter and vanilla extract to the egg and sugar mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder. Gradually stir this flour mixture into the egg mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the flour, mixing well after each addition.
5. Once the batter is smooth and evenly blended, add the chocolate chips and stir to distribute evenly.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
8. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing from the pan. Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
