Cheese and Ham Rolls
Ingredients
Dough:
1 kg wheat flour
10 g salt
10 g dried yeast (or 30 g fresh yeast)
30 g sugar
450 ml warm water
1 egg
Filling:
2 bars of cream cheese (approx. 250 g each)
250 g sliced ββham
For Glazing:
1 egg
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of sugar
Decoration:
β Sesame seeds (to taste)

Preparation
In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, sugar, and dried yeast. Make a well in the center and add the warm water and egg.
Knead for about 10-15 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.Β If using fresh yeast, dissolve it first in a little warm water before adding it to the flour mixture.
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.
Once the dough has rested, sprinkle a little flour on your work surface and roll it out into a large rectangle about 1 cm thick.
Spread the cream cheese over the entire surface of the rolled-out dough and place the ham slices on top of the cheese.
Carefully roll the dough from one end into a long cylinder.
Cut the cylinder into rolls about 4 cm wide and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Let the rolls rest for 15 minutes to allow them to rise slightly.
Preheat the oven to 180Β°C.
In a small bowl, beat an egg with a pinch of salt and sugar, and brush each roll with this mixture. Sprinkle sesame seeds to taste on each roll.
Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
