Chocolate Sponge Cake
For the Sponge Cake:
4 eggs
190 g sugar
125 g butter
125 ml warm milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
250 g flour
45 g cocoa powder
15 g baking powder
1 pinch of salt
For the Topping:
500 g dulce de leche
140 g melted chocolate
Chocolate shavings

Process:
In a bowl, add the eggs and sugar. Beat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Add the melted butter and beat for two minutes.
Add the warm milk and vanilla extract and mix for another two minutes.
Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Add these dry ingredients to the mixture and beat until completely combined.
Pour the mixture into a previously greased and floured 20 cm pan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (350°F) for approximately 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
Meanwhile, mix the dulce de leche with the melted chocolate for the topping.
Once the cake is ready and cooled, cut it in half and fill it with the dulce de leche and chocolate mixture. Also use this mixture to cover the top of the cake.
Finally, decorate with chocolate shavings all around the cake.
