Ingredients:

For the cake layer:
‱ 1 box of chocolate cake mix (or your favorite homemade recipe)
‱ Ingredients listed on the box (eggs, oil, water)

For the cherry layer:

‱ 1 can (21 oz) of cherry pie filling
‱ 1 teaspoon of almond extract (optional, for a special touch)

For the whipped cream layer:

‱ 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
‱ 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
‱ 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

For the chocolate chip layer:

‱ 1 cup of mini chocolate chips
‱ 1/4 cup of grated chocolate (optional, for garnish).

Instructions:

1ïžâƒŁ Prepare the cake:
‱ Bake the chocolate cake according to the package instructions.
‱ Let cool completely, then cut or crumble the cake into small pieces.

‱ In a bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
‱ Refrigerate.
