Cranberry & Cream Puff Pastry Bites Recipe

These flaky, buttery puff pastry bites are filled with a rich cream cheese filling and topped with a sweet-tart cranberry compote. Perfect for holidays, tea parties, or any special occasion!

Ingredients:

For the Puff Pastry:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

For the Cream Filling:

8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp heavy cream

For the Cranberry Topping:

1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
¼ cup (50g) brown sugar
1 tbsp orange juice
½ tsp orange zest
¼ tsp cinnamon (optional)
Garnish (Optional):
Fresh rosemary sprigs
Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Puff Pastry

1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into small squares (about 2 inches).

3️⃣ Place the squares on the baking sheet and brush with egg wash for a golden finish.

4️⃣ Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and puffy. Let cool completely.
