Chocolate cake

For the cake:

4 eggs
190 g sugar
125 g butter
125 ml warm milk
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
250 g flour
45 g cocoa
15 g baking powder
1 pinch salt

For the topping:

500 g dulce de leche
140 g melted chocolate
Chocolate shavings

Process:

In a bowl, add the eggs and sugar. Beat until the sugar completely dissolves.

Add the melted butter and beat for two minutes.

Add the warm milk and vanilla essence, and mix for another two minutes.

Sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder and pinch of salt. Add these dry ingredients to the mixture and beat until everything is completely combined.

Pour the mixture into a previously greased and floured 20 cm mould.

Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for approximately 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Meanwhile, mix the dulce de leche with the melted chocolate for the topping.

Once the cake is ready and cooled, cut it in half and fill it with the dulce de leche and chocolate mixture. Use this mixture to cover the top of the cake as well.

Finally, decorate with chocolate shavings all around the cake.
