Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger:
Ingredients
1. Patties:
1. 85/15 ground beef (4 patties, 8 oz each)
2. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3. 1 teaspoon salt
4. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
5. 1/4 teaspoon paprika
6. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2. Bacon:
1. 6 slices thick-cut bacon
3. Cheese:
1. 4 slices cheddar, American or mozzarella
4. Toppings:
1. Lettuce
2. Tomatoes
3. Red onions
4. Pickles
5. Caramelized onions (optional)
5. Buns:
1. 4 brioche or pretzel buns
6. Spreads:
1. Mayonnaise or garlic aioli
2. Ketchup
Instructions
1. Prepare grill: Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
2. Form patties: Mix ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder. Form 4 patties.
3. Cook bacon: Cook bacon slices until crispy; set aside.
4. Grill patties: Grill patties 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
5. Assemble burgers: Spread mayonnaise or garlic aioli on buns. Add cooked patties, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles.
6. Top with cheese: Add cheese during last minute of grilling or broil until melted.
