Baked Maultaschen

So delicious and prepared in just 20 minutes: baked Maultaschen in the oven with tender mozzarella and spicy tomato sauce with cream and onions.
INGREDIENTS
6 Maultaschen (from the refrigerated section)
1 small onion
1 clove of garlic
400 g pieces of tomatoes from a can
150 g cream
½ tsp salt
1 pinch of pepper
1 – 2 tbsp olive oil
150 g grated mozzarella
some parsley
PREPARATION
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan oven). Cut the Maultaschen into slices. Peel and dice the onion. Peel and finely chop the clove of garlic.
2. Put the onion and garlic in a blender with the chopped canned tomatoes and the cream and puree. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
3. Brush a small casserole dish with olive oil and place the Maultaschen in it. Pour the sauce over it and sprinkle with grated mozzarella.
4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes on the middle rack until the cheese has melted and begins to turn golden brown. In the meantime, wash the parsley, pat dry, pick off the leaves and chop roughly. Take the Maultaschen out of the oven and garnish with chopped parsley. Enjoy!
