Ingredients:

For the Cake:

1 ยพ cups (220g) all-purpose flour
1 ยฝ cups (300g) granulated sugar
ยพ cup (75g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ยฝ tsp baking powder
1 ยฝ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 cup (240ml) whole milk
ยฝ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup (240ml) boiling water

For the Frosting:

1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
3 ยฝ cups (450g) powdered sugar
ยฝ cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup (80ml) heavy cream
2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

For the Cake:

Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.
