Chocolate Banana Bread
Ingredients
1. Dry ingredients:
1. 2 1/4 cups (285g) all-purpose flour
2. 1 teaspoon baking powder
3. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
5. 1 cup (200g) unsweetened cocoa powder
2. Wet ingredients:
1. 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
2. 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
3. 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
4. 2 large eggs
5. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3. Optional:
1. 1 cup (120g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
2. Chopped walnuts or pecans (1/2 cup/60g)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2. Whisk dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder).
3. Beat wet ingredients (butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract).
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
5. Fold in mashed bananas.
6. Add chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
8. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
