Raspberry Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls

Ingredients:

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup fresh raspberries
1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for dusting)
1 egg (optional, for egg wash)

Instructions:

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling:

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Crescent Rolls:

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
Spread a small amount of the cream cheese mixture on each triangle.
Place a few raspberries on the wider end of each triangle.

Roll up the dough starting from the wide end, tucking the raspberries inside.
Apply Egg Wash (Optional):
If using the egg, whisk it in a small bowl and brush it lightly over the crescent rolls for a golden finish.

Bake:
Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool and Dust:
Allow the rolls to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
