200 grams pomade (softened) butter
120 grams granulated sugar
280 grams all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix the Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened pomade butter and granulated sugar. Beat them together using an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is creamy and light in color.
Add the vanilla essence and mix until well combined.
Add the Flour:
Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the butter mixture. Mix on low speed until the dough comes together. Be careful not to overmix; you want just until combined.
Shape the Cookies:
Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
You can flatten them slightly with the back of a fork or your palm for a classic look.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers might look a little soft, but they will firm up as they cool.
Cool:
Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
