• 1 teaspoon baking powder.

• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.

• 1/2 teaspoon salt.

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

• 1/2 cup of natural yogurt.

Make sure you have all the ingredients ready and follow the recipe exactly for a delicious caramel apple cake.  Enjoy baking!

Preparation:

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan with butter or non-stick spray.

2. In a large skillet, melt 1/2 cup granulated sugar over medium heat until melted and golden in color.  Be careful not to burn it.  This is the caramel for the cake base.  Pour the caramel into the bottom of the prepared pan and spread it evenly.

3. Place the apple cubes over the caramel in the mold, distributing them evenly.

4. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.  Booking.

5. In another bowl, beat the eggs with the remaining sugar until smooth and creamy.

6. Add the melted butter and vanilla extract to the egg and sugar mixture.  Mix well.

7. Add half of the flour mixture to the wet mixture and stir until well combined.  Then, add the yogurt and mix again.

8. Add the other half of the flour mixture and mix until you obtain a homogeneous dough.

9. Pour the batter over the apples in the pan, making sure to distribute it evenly.

10. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

11. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes in the pan.  Then, place a large plate upside down on the mold and turn it over to unmold the cake onto the plate.  The melted caramel and caramelized apples should be on top.

12. Let the cake cool completely before serving.  You can decorate it with more liquid caramel or whipped cream if you wish.

This cake has an incredible flavor thanks to the combination of sweet apples and soft caramel.  I hope you enjoy it!
