CINNAMON SUGAR FRENCH TOAST MUFFINS SERVICES: 12 Muffins

2 cups all-purpose flour1 cup granulated sugar2 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted1 cup of milk2 large eggs1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Whipped creamPowdered sugarfresh berriesMaple syrupChopped nuts
CINNAMON SUGAR COATING1/2 cup granulated sugar1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
🟪DIRECTIONS🟪
PREPARE THE OVEN AND PAN:Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
MIX DRY INGREDIENTSIn a medium bowl, combine floursugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
COMBINE WET INGREDIENTSIn a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, eggs, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
COMBINE MIXTURES:Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until combined. FILL MUFFIN CUPSDivide the dough evenly among the muffin cups.
OVEN:Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
CINNAMON SUGAR COATING:Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Dip hot muffin tops in warming mixture. CRISP The TOPS:Optionally, return the muffins to the oven for 2-3 minutes to crisp up the tops.
